Everybody loves a good carnival game, and Zombies vs. Aliens is no exception. If it’s not broken don’t fix it right? Zombies vs. Aliens is based on the premise of Whack-a-mole and it pulls it off very well with a lasting longevity as well. In the game you can choose either to kill zombies or aliens depending on the mood and type of gameplay that you would like. One of the things that make this game last so long is that the Alien and Zombie versions of the game have distinctly different game plays, more on that later.

The premise of both of the games is identical, when the zombie or alien pops out of its’ hole you whack it. You get points based on if you hit the target before it recedes to its’ hole and are penalized if you miss. The difference between the two games is that the aliens’ version is based on time. You begin with an allotted amount of time to play the game and get points. When your time runs out, the game ends. There are aliens that you can hit that give you more time; similarly, there are aliens that subtract from the time you have left. Lastly there are aliens that are just point gains as well. The zombie version of the game is based on ‘errors’ that you make. An error is missing one of the zombies or hitting one of the penalties which in this case are just regular people, not zombies. Hitting one will get you minus points and count against you in the form of an error. When you hit ten errors, the game is over.

This game comes loaded with any feature that you could ask for in a whack-a-mole game and then some. Online leaderboards, different difficulty levels, trophies and a bonus gameplay are included in the paid version, while the free version only allows you to play in easy mode. Overall this game is very satisfaction and has an intuitive interface, good animation and graphics as well. For a cheap price it’s a good game that provides plenty of enjoyment and will not disappoint.
