For the uninitiated, tower defense , requires strategic placement of defensive armaments to ward off wave after wave of attackers. This genre of games have proven to be a winning formula on smartphones and comes in a wide range of themes from zombies to Star Wars and today we take a look at Swamp Defense, which is a fixed path tower defense game on Windows Phone 7.
In Swamp Defense, you have a fixed path that the enemies will take and you have to build your defensive towers around this path to decimate the incoming wave of swamp creatures. In this game you play as a family of 5 and each member of the family is armed with a unique weapon and have to put an end of the swamp creatures bothering them, in this version there are 8 different swamp creatures.
There are 15 levels available and each one is progressively unlocked as you complete the previous one. When the game starts you place thee various towers on the map by clicking on the desired area and picking your tower. Each time you kill and enemy you earn credits which is used to upgrade your characters or to buy new characters. You can upgrade a character 3 times which makes them faster and more powerful. You also have the option to sell characters to get some credit back to your account. In each level you have to withstand specific number of waves to unlock the next level but you can continue playing and the game will keep generating a new wave for you to destroy till you run out of lives. Each wave comprise of multiple enemies , some stronger / faster than the others. You can tap on an enemy to let all towers in rage shoot on it, a red arrow will appear on the enemy when this is activated ( it can be a bit tricky to pull it off at times )
One good thing about the game is that once you have your towers in place you can fast forward the game so you don’t have to wait through the entire battle. One thing i noticed in the game ( may be its just me ) is that Buster seems to do much more damage than Little Joe, which can be frustrating coz you have to pay a lot more to get Little Joe and he has a bazooka which does not do as much damage as the pistol. ( but Little Joe does have a larger range for his attack ). One other thing that I hope to see in the game is that at the moment you can’t place enemies towards the edges of the map, I hope the dev can include some sort of visual indicator to specify that area can’t be used to place towers ( it can be filled with rocks, tree, etc )
Over all its a nice game and with 15 never ending levels the game should keep you occupied for a long time, but more levels, enemies and upgrades are always welcome. The previous version of the game had a bug that might have prevented some players from loading a saved game, that seems to be resolved in this version. There is a trial version available and the full version is available for $0.99, The Trial Version is limited in one level, 40 waves to play.

Thanks for your review!
Buster lives from his speed, his rapid fire rate, Little Joe from his power, range and splash damage. In higher waves you have no luck with the buster, the Enemies are too strong.
Tips:
- Upgrade if you can, an upgrade is much better than buy a new tower
- use “Old flint” to slow down the enemies, so they work more together and the splash damage of Little Joe and Maggie works better (Buster shoot in this case just at one enemy)
Thanks for playing ;)
