Jigsaws puzzles like any puzzle game can give your brain a good workout but gone are the days when you can see any one trying to put all those cardboard pieces together to complete the puzzle. But if you are a fan we have some good news for you Jigsaw Guru Free is bringing the classic back to Windows Phone 7. Today we will take a look at what features are packed in to this free WP7 game.

Jigsaw Guru Free is a dead giveaway if you look at the tile , its a free Jigsaw puzzle game for Windows Phone 7. The game is developed by Frederic My under the banner of Fairy Engine LLC. Jigsaw Guru Free is quite feature rich for a free game and all Jigsaw puzzle game fans on Windows Phone will love it. When you launch the game you have the option to load any one of the previously saved game or you can start a new game. You will also notice that Jigsaw Guru Free keeps tabs on your high-scores locally. The settings page allows you to adjust the music and sound effects volume. Should you have any support questions / issues you can send an email to the developer using the support button ( which will launch the mail app )

When you start a new game you can choose to go with one of the stock images within the app or you can select one from your library or take a new one with your camera. Then you have to pick the difficulty level, with higher difficulty you will get more puzzle pieces. The 3 modes available are

  1. Easy : 3×4 ( 12 pieces )
  2. Normal : 6×8 ( 48 pieces )
  3. Difficult : 9×12 ( 108 pieces )

The playing area is divided in to the browser and the board and you can swap this by just dragging it around. You can rotate the puzzle pices by tapping on it and you can easily drag it on to the board. The board itself supports pinch to zoom and you can easily get back to the fit to the screen view by clicking on the target button, if you want to hind the image when you solve the puzzle you just need to hit the button that looks like the checker board. Should you want to pause the game hit the pause button that will bring us a lot of help option along with the ability to save the game so you can continue this at a later stage. ( one you complete a save game the save file is automatically removed ). Help options include : Sort borders, give pieces their correct orientation, see what pieces are misplaced, display the shapes of pieces on the target photo.

Over all the game is great and if you are a puzzle fan there is no reason not to try it not just coz its free but it has got some nice features for a simple Jigsaw puzzle game.

Some Facts about Jigsaw Guru Free : The game was developed in 2.5 months and was on the marketplace before the US launch of the platform and now the developer plans to release this as a free game ( ad-supported ). It’s basically the same game as the initial paid Jigsaw Guru, with no limitation, but a few differences described here.
