FingerBall is a simple but addictive game that we came across on windows phone 7. The idea behind the game is as simple as it can get for a game but when you spend hours trying to get your score up you know that you are playing a great game. You have to keep juggling one of the 5 balls in the game using your fingers and the more juggles you get the higher you name goes up in the leader board and once you are on top you get a trophy. So what makes this game so special ?

When you first launch FingerBall , you are asked to enter a username, this is the name used in the online leaderboard. You can change the username at a later date should you choose to do so. Then you choose one of the available difficulty level and the game begins, you touch the ball to launch it in to the air and have to keep touching it before it hits the ground. You can see see your current sore in the top left and the high score from the current session on the top right. If you want to pause the game you can hit the back button. Unfortunately if you exit out of the app you will have to start all over again. As you progress through the difficulty level you will notice that the size of the ball used will get smaller.. from a beach ball to a tennis ball.

3. Hard – Soccer / Football
4. Profi – Baseball
5. Insane – Tennis Ball

The game offers 2 simple settings under the option screen , toggle for tactile feedback and ability to send scores to the developers server. Yes there is an online leaderboard for each of the difficulty settings and the best part is the current player who is on top of the leaderboard gets a trophy, there are 5 trophies to collect and only the current leader will have it. So if some one beats you and climbs on top of the leaderboard you will lose the trophy and he / she will get it. FingerBall uses the name that you entered when you launch the game. Since you dont pick a password when you register the name, I tried to change the name to the current top player’s name but it did not bring up the trophy on my device, so I am guessing the game identifies the phone from which the high score was made.

To sum it up, if you are looking for a simple casual game for Windows Phone 7, FingerBall is a game that you should at-least try out. There is a trial available, we are not yet sure what the limitations are, once the developer gets back to us we will let you know about it. the limitation in the trial mode is that you cannot get a higher score than 15 per difficulty.
