There are 2 kind of people in this world : people who buy xBox Live games during launch and those who buy them when it is featured as the Deal of the week .. well that is not exactly true, but here is a true story :
Many Windows Phone games pick up xBox Live tile when they go on sale as the Deal of the week, but I have recently noticed that even though the panorama background image change over to the deal of the week banner and the Deal of the week page links to the game the price does not go down it stays at the launch price. It could possibly be a delay in the updated price being reflected in various regions… but users who decide to buy the game after seeing the banner could be charged the full price. [ NOTE : I have not purchased a DOTW game when the sale price has not been updates , so I am no entirely sure that is what is being charged on to the users credit card , but assuming that the full price is displayed I have to assume they will be charged the full price ] While many users might not be keeping tabs on the price and price drops like how we often do they might not be aware of the fact they are being charged the full price for a deal of the week title.
I have noticed this in the Australian Windows Phone Marketplace, I am not sure if this is the case in other regions. If you have noticed this , let us know via the comments below
Update : The good folks from @WinPhoneSupport on Twitter are already on the case and we will update the post with any info they pass on to us

I purchased ZA2 after it was announced as DOTW and sure enough was charged the full $2.99 price. I was not deterred by the price displayed since I was not charged for several days and thought the final charge would reflect the sale price. Wrong!
This is odd, I would be gutted if I’d bought a DOTW for its launch price.
I have noticed a small delay once or twice in the UK marketplace.
Another odd thing I noticed, yesterday on the front page one of the icons was for One Direction and underneath it said free track, but when you pressed on the icon, both the tracks were still being charged for and it was like that for the whole duration of the icon being there. Guess it was just a mistake, but weird that they didn’t remove it.
I got stung on a deal of the week. I didn’t check the price and noticed it was still the full price later. I thought this would be corrected when the actual payment was taken but it wasn’t.
I’m in the UK.
What is the cost at full price? I’m seeing $1.99 US.
the full price was $2.99 . Just keep an eye on it next week :)
