De Blob for Windows Phone 7 is a fun puzzler game where you must lead the rebellion against I.N.K.T. Corp to bring colour back to Chroma City & save all of the graydians. There are three different buildings; the first & third have 4 floors to find your way through, whereas the second has 6. Each building has 4 different levels of difficulty to try, which are slowly unlocked as you save more people from the grips of I.N.K.T. Corp. The gameplay revolves around the path drawing games concept. De Blob is developed by THQ a heavyweight game developer. BTW who ( of the top of their head ) know what THQ stands for ?
The gameplay itself involves guiding a friendly looking blob of colour around each floor, making sure you try to free as many graydians as possible, who are stuck hypnotised inside monochromic robot suits. The trick is trying to make your way to each graydian without crossing your own path & ending up at the little hole in the floor. This can end up slightly more tricky than you think & if you ask to restart the building, the little character that pops up doesn’t seem too happy about it. Plus, the game keeps a record of how many graydians you free, how long it takes for you to complete some of the floors & how challenging each floor you complete is.
The graphics in this game are of a very high quality, giving the game a very professional look. The combination of the environment you play in & the colourful characters that appear is just great. ( If this was a film; you just know the green girl would end up marrying de Blob at the end. )
De Blob is xBox live enabled which gives you all the benefits of xBox Live on WP7. Overall this is a challenging & fun puzzle game with great graphics & some funky little characters.
