Beanstalk Tale Windows Phone
Gear up for another platform jumper. There are things that I like about this game don’t get me wrong but in truth it really is just like every other platform jumper out there, yet for some reason I still prefer something like Doodle Jump or Birdy Bounce.
There are redeeming qualities to this game however. It may sound really juvenile but I really truly love the music and sound effects in this game. Whenever you die the screaming sound effect makes me laugh every single time. I can’t help but crack up every single time I hear that pig scream. The music really isn’t too shabby either.
Admittedly, there is a portion of the game that I missed when I first started looking at writing about it. The fact that your pig does have a weapon and there are boss battles. Like I said before I didn’t think there was anything else to the game but touching the screen shoots a bow and arrow to eliminate those pesky spiders and/or beetles. There are multiple themes that are selectable in this game as well. I think the value of this feature is that the overall animation of the game changes. The pig changes, the platform changes and even the different types of platforms change their look.
Ultimately, like I said before, this game this game does have its’ redeeming qualities, but it’s still essentially just like every other jumping platform game out there. And truth is, for an extra 2 bucks, I’d rather play Doodle Jump.

There is a trial version available and the full version is available for $0.99, we are not sure what are the limitations of the trial version. The dev has also released a free version. This free version has all the features the full version has. The only difference is that during gameplay you will see ads displayed on screen.

Thank you very much for the review. It would have been nice if you mentioned the FREE version as well which has all the features of the full version and shows ads. So essentially the price gap between Doodle Jump and Beanstalk Tale is $3, not $2….

Personally I think its a nice game , especially since 2 of the themes looks like 2 completely different game and not just a new skin with a few colors changes. I really like the beanstalk theme and those little boss fights look nice too :)
