A while ago we saw a tower defense game set in the Steampunk era called The Defence of Lushington Springs. In the developers words Lushington Springs is a tower defence clone in a steam punk world of warring nations. The developer have informed us thaat the game is a few weeks off completion and if all goes well (as it is so far :)) there will be 5 maps, 15 towers and 11 units in the game.
Unlike some tower defense this game sticks to the basics and use Flak Cannon, Turret and other similar weapons instead of common home appliances . Instead of a fixed map the user have to scroll around the map and the enemies can come from various entry points on the map.

Looks suspiciously like the TD game that has the source available. Hope the creators are the same as the source, otherwise it looks a bit of a rip off.
any link to the open source version ?
Hi Ted,
I am the developer of Lushington springs (and not the TD game with the source available), but I can assure you that I wrote all the source code and created each art asset myself (and in fact I’m still writing it now, 7 months after starting).
But I really do appreciate how your 3 seconds of thought and a comment damage the reputation of my project. If by ‘suspiciously similar’ you mean both games have a desert map, then you are correct. Other than that I’m afraid you’ll find all tower defense games have similarities ..
Btw, the open source game is:
