Hexxation is a unique puzzle game which tests logic, timing, reflexes, problem solving – a game which on tougher difficulty settings really requires the player to think outside of the box. The aim of the game is to navigate the player object across a grid of linked hexagon segments, with each segment having its own properties which perform an action when the player lands on that segment. Effects such as rotating a number of positions, or disappearing when the player leaves the segment. Segments can also house objects which interact with the player, such as magnets which pull the player to the segment, springs which bounce the player away, vortexes which transport the player somewhere else, and cogs which make the hexagon begin rotating. The player must collect all the gold stars on the level before making their way to the trophy to complete the level in a minimum number of moves or within a certain time depending on difficulty setting.

The game also features achievements which unlock a music related puzzle/quiz – solving the puzzle unlocks 2 bonus levels which are ultra difficult and complicated because the game segments become transparent so the player doesn’t know what properties they have. One of the backgrounds is a closeup of a moustache I grew for Movember :D . Once every achievement is unlocked the user would be able to enter a code which is unique to their installation to unlock level 41 and 42 – which can only be played on hard mode difficulty. The code can only be determined by solving the answer to the 40 clues in the names of the 40 levels – each answer is a music group or artists name. there are only 2 backgrounds, one is a closeup of a moustache I grew for Movember, the other is a screenshot of my WoW character Xananthar.

There is a trial version available and the full version is available for $1.99, the player can play the first 5 levels of the game in trial mode on all 3 difficulty settings. There are 40 levels in total plus 2 bonus extra levels if the player can solve the easter egg style puzzle and enter a unique key code by unlocking code fragments when achievements are accomplished.
